Giveaway is now closed 3/1/3012.
When working wood, the right glue is very important. There is only one glue that I use with my projects.....Gorilla Glue! I'm sure you've seen pictures of it in my posts. I haven't tried all the adhesives out there, but why should I if I love this one so much. The Gorilla Glue company offers so many other adhesives as well.....even tape. If you need something fixed, built, glued to someone's head.....they have got something for you. Did you know its 100% waterproof too? Got a rubber duckie with a hole in it? Fix it with Gorilla Glue!
I was able to hook up with Gorilla Glue to offer my readers a chance to win a great prize package which has a great sampling of their amazing products.
Rules are simple:
Mandatory: Like The Gorilla Glue Company on Facebook and tell them that you love their products (maybe even a thank you for their generous prize pack)
- Like Double D's Workshop on Facebook
- Follow Double D's Workshop somewhere ( linky follower, Twitter, Pinterest, email, Google+)
- Follow Gorilla Glue on Twitter
- Share this giveaway on Facebook
- Share this giveaway on Twitter
So that's 6 chances for you to win!
As a bonus, if we get over 50 entries, I will offer 50% off a personalized piece of Wood Photo Art through my Etsy shop to everyone that enetered.
This contest will end on February 29th, 2012.....let's say at 11:43 pm.
Winner will be announced sometime the next day.
Thanks again to Rob from Gorilla Glue, everyone over at the Gorilla Glue Company and to all of my readers.

- finish final prep and apply finish on two red oak shelves(will be available in my Etsy store)
- finish all cuts for the wooden-photo coaster set
- attempt to make some more progress on my repurposed table(123 hours so far on this table)
- cut to size and apply photos for some wood photo-art(again, available on Etsy)
- attempt to figure out and rework the layout of this blog(probably not going to happen since I can't figure most of it out)

Wish me luck!

Towards the bottom of the post you will also find one of my photo-art pieces that I made for her. Available in my Etsy store and ready for your personalized touches. Thanks Roeshel for the great tutorial and for showing off my work.
Here is a before and after shot. I used a digital image to transfer it to wood after a slight modification. The whole frame was handmade, stained, and hand rubbed with a finishing wax. Please convo me on Etsy to start your one of a kind piece of art. Thanks

The new year brings new ideas, new opportunities, new friends. I have the new ideas, I have somewhat of the opportunity. Now I look to my friends, my followers to help spread the word so new friends can be made. It is our hope to have the Etsy shop up and running by the end of the month. Hope you all can come check it out and share it with at least one person that might share it with another person and so on and so on. The main goal is to keep doing what I love, learning new crafts and maybe, just maybe, stop working for the man and start working for the people who appreciate buying handmade. Thank you as always for reading
