Monday Madness(or a case of the Mondays?)

Well it is Monday and this is the day to get some projects done, but this is what I'm doing instead. Sometimes the motivation is lost. I do need to start working on the yard though since spring came a little early this year. Anyone have any organic tips for weed control? Would love to hear about them. Hopefully next Monday will be a typical Madness Monday!

Monday madness

Ok, so here is my Monday madness to do list.

- finish final assembly and prep on two custom ordered tables
- hang a pegboard organizer on the shop wall
- finish final prep and apply finish on two red oak shelves(will be available in my Etsy store)
- finish all cuts for the wooden-photo coaster set
- attempt to make some more progress on my repurposed table(123 hours so far on this table)
- cut to size and apply photos for some wood photo-art(again, available on Etsy)
- attempt to figure out and rework the layout of this blog(probably not going to happen since I can't figure most of it out)
- and if that's not enough, clean the disaster I left in the kitchen yesterday from making chili

Here is a before and after shot. I used a digital image to transfer it to wood after a slight modification. The whole frame was handmade, stained, and hand rubbed with a finishing wax. Please convo me on Etsy to start your one of a kind piece of art. Thanks

Wooden coaster project/giveaway!

I've been dying to make a set of wooden coasters and a holder for a while now. I would love to incorporate an image onto the face of the coasters as well. Art- pictures on wood

 How about combining two aspects of my favorite design elements? Wood and photography. Well that's just what we have here. Actual photos printed out and then, through a special process, transferred completely onto wood.....

Charity shelves- picture updates

A couple months ago I donated these shelves for a charity auction hosted by the DIY club.

New year

The new year brings new ideas, new opportunities, new friends. I have the new ideas, I have somewhat of the opportunity. Now I look to my friends, my followers to help spread the word so new friends can be made. It is our hope to have the Etsy shop up and running by the end of the month. Hope you all can come  check it out and share it with at least one person that might share it with another person and so on and so on. The main goal is to keep doing what I love, learning new crafts and maybe, just maybe, stop working for the man and start working for the people who appreciate buying handmade.
